DUNEDIN PRODUCE REPORT.
Feb. 27,1868. Mr. C. W. Lorenzen, Produce Salesman, Jetty-street, reports: — Transactions are confined to small parcels for immediate consumption, there being few orders for shipment, and no speculative demand. Oats are Id. cheaper, but there is no change in any other article. The following are the latest quotations :—: — Wheat.— 6s. 6d. ; inferior, ss. per bushelFlou?.— Colonial, £17 per ton. Seconds. — L 5 per ton, Bran. — L 5 per ton. Maize.— 3s. 6d. per bushel. Barley. — ss. to ss. 3d. per bushel, Inferior not saleable. Oats.— 2s. Bd. per bushel. Chaff.— L4 to L4> 10*. ppr ton. Hay. — Oaten, loose L 5; trussed, L 6 per ton. Straw.— (Oat- and wheat), L 2 per ton. Rye Grass Seed.— Prime quality, 7s. to 7s. 6d. per bushel (No orders on hand). Rye Grass Hay and Clover. — L 3 10s. to L 4 per ton. Potatoes. — New, white, L 5 per ton ; Derwent, L 7 10s. ; kidneys, LB. Pea«.— Green, 15s. per cwt. Horse beans, 6s. per bushel. Bone Dust. — None in the maiket. Corn Sacks. — 14?. per doz.
