TRAIN STUCK IN LYTTELTON TUNNEL.

LOAD PROVES TOO HEAVY FOR ENGINE TO HAUL. An engine failed to haul a long goods train through the Lyttelton tunnel this morning. The train got stuck inside the tunnel on its way to Christchurch. Later it had to be assisted back to Lyttelton to enable the 8.55 a.m. train from Christchurch to get through. The passenger train was held up at ITeathcote for about twenty-five minutes.
