OH, MA JOB DBAB! (From the Auckland Otservtr.) Oh, Major dear! eh, Major dear! Whatever shall we do ! Among the politicians all, Our faith has been in you. Oh, Major dear ! oh, Major dear ! Though shocking thing to say, The truth no longer oaa be hid— We do not pay our way. Oh, Major dear, eh, Major dear! Trade goes from bad to worse j Our debts are long, our inoome lax, All void the publio purse. Ob, Major dear! oh, Major deer ! The banking people say The ooin they've hoarded up for years You're sending fait away.* Oh, Major dear ! Ob, Major dear ! To you men bankrupt pray To put at least ten thousand more On Civil service pay. Oh, Major, dear! oh, Major dear! The Southern people say That aince you into office came Their luok has gone away. Ob, Major, dear! oh, Major, dear! Please bully Grey onoe more ; Or try some other triok that will Prosperity restore. Ob, Major, dear ! oh, Major dear ! The silly people say They'll see you further ere they wi'l More Customß duties pay. Oh, Major dear ! oh, Major dear !
