At the x Land Board, yesterday, a further number of seotions were disposed of on the perpetual leasing principle. The rates per aore ranged from Is 6d to Bs. At the Education Board to-day, the Seoretary of the Department in Wellington wrote that a definite reply would be given to the Board about tbe grant for buildings as soon as the Department was in a position to do so. Mr M'Kenzie, M.H.8., gave notioe of motion for the January meeting— "That the Seoretary, three inspectors, and three clerks receive notice of dieoharge after three mouths, and that applications be then invited for a Seoretary, one olerk, and two inspectors." He also gave notice for tho abolition of Committees, and that all business be transacted by the full Board.
