Playgoers on the look-out for a novel form of amusem..it will have their tastes amply catered for on Friday next, December 19th, at McDowell's Hall, when the Great Chandos,' a renowned entertainer, illusionist, mindreader, and handcuff manipulator will make his first appearance in Te Puke. This gentleman is visiting- the Dominion after a record tour of India, Japan, China, America, and Australia, and those who have witnessed his entertainments in this country unhesitatingly endorse the verdict that as a njagieian and illusionist he is unrivalled. He will be supported by a talented American Company, the members of which were engaged by himself for a world's tour. The box plan will be opened on Friday, and large business is ' confidently anticipated.
