As a magician and illusionist the Great Chandos comes to this town with a wideworld reputation. His entertainment is new. startling, and novel. His handcuff manipulations are marvellous, and he is the only man who has ever attempted to dive off the Brooklyn Bridge, U.S. His death-defying feat, "The Human Target, "in which he allows any of the audience to load a muzzle-loading gun with a marked bullet, and fire pointblank at him-he catching the bullet-is thrilling in the extreme. Chandos will be supported by his own company of assistants and entertainers, who were engaged in America for a world's toiir. Foremost among them is Miss Ada Field, the. ever-pleasing balladist, who will render some pleasing songs from her unlimited repertoire.
