MERCHANT COMMITS SUICIDE.

Blenheim, Thursday,

Duncan McCallum, a man about 35 years of age, a grain and pro. duce merchant, was found dead at his home at Springlands yesterday. A shot gun was found with a strap tied to the trigger and fastened to a stove. Evidently deceased had placed the gun barrel in his mouth, and pulled it towards him, thus discharging the weapon. His head was shattered.
