: A largely attended meeting of the Huntiy Miners' Union was held this rooming, to discuss the letter irom the. Directors of the Taupi.'i Mines, .Ltd., offering the men'the bption of resuming work oo Thursday, under the terms of the old award. Several members of the union addressed the meeting, advising the men to stand solid: 'Questions were asked as to whether the dismissed sixteen men were b to included in the offer .r.it\de by the company, and some mnifrsted a disposition to riegoii te with the company in thai direction. Amotion, however, was passed, that the men would re .'use to res : me work on, Thursday, and also that any negotiations for settlement must be made with the United Federation of Labor.
