: ! -i Messrs Dalgety and Co. report: We held our monthly stock sale in the Te Aroha yards on Friday, October 31, when we yarded 388 head of cattle, all of first class condition and quality, Four pens of yearling steers for J. Wool ford, Waitoa, made ,£4, £3 17s, £3 13s and £3 10s respectively. There was a good attendance of buyers and we report a total clearance. As usual, dairy stock at this time of the year, *was easier in price. We quote Fat bullocks £9 16s fat cows £5 10s to £7, forward empty cows £3 18s to £4 16s, store cows £212s to £310s, best yearling steers £3 6s to £4, small ditto £212s to £3, yearling heifers £2 10s to £3 ss, dairy cows £6 5s to £710s, dairy heifers £4 to £6 ss. At Te Awamutu on November 1 wc had a full yarding of stock.' Dairy cattle and bulls were dull of sale. Empty cows and yearling steers sold mF. We quote; Fat cows to £7, fat heifers £5 2s to £517s 6d, forward empty: cows £3 lis o £418s, forward' to Syr steers £6 ss, yearling; £2 15s to £3 7s, yearling heifers £212s 9d to £3 12s 6J, 2yr empty heifers £4, dairy cows £5 to £015s, dairy heifers £315s to £7.
