THE SUMMER SHOW.
A meeting of the Committee of the Summer Show was held in the Mission Hall on Saturday, Mr Bishoprick presiding. It was resolved that the Show be held this year on November 20th, or about a month earlier than it was held last year. The alteration was made partly because the Auckland Exhibition would be open in December, and might militate against the success of the Show, and partly in the interest of growers, the general opinion being that there would be a better display by the Show being held earlier. Last year's schedule was carefully revised, and the following alterations and additions were made Bunches of sweet peas instead of sprays; one bunch of sweet peas, light variety ; one bunch of sweet peas, dark variety; one basket of sweet peas; collection of roses, one variety ; basket of roses;, three carnations in lieu of five ; three varieties of stocks, one spike of each; best collection of stocks, one variety ; best collection tion of phlox collection of Shirley poppies; shower bouquet; collection of ferns; collection of pot plants; basket'of flowers (children). .
