SMALLPOX IN SYDNEY

+ EIGHT NEW CASES Sydney, This Day A few fresh cases of smallpox have been traced. All were of a mild type. Eight sufferers have been removed to quarantine. Mr Ho'mm (Premier) states that the Board of Health is taking the most rigid precautions to prevent the spread of the smallpox outbreak. The authorities at present consider that they have the situation well in hand. Free public vaccination is being provided. All the cases except two were traced to the clothing factory, in which the disease was first! noticed, It is situated within j the city bounds near Redfern, and has been closed and disinfected.
