MORE FIRE-RAISING. London, April G. Suffragettes destroyed the flower-beds in Armstrong Park, Newcastle, broke many windows in Glasgow, and committed a series of pillar-box outrages at Brighton. A gang burned an unoccupied mansion at Chorley Wood, valued at £2000. . The police have arrested two suffragettes whilst making an attempt to burn a new grandstand on the Kelso racecourse. Paraffin was used, but the fire was extinguished before much harm was done. Suffragettes burned the grandstand on Ayr race-course. ■ Olive Hocken has been convicted and sentenced to four months' imprisonment on .a .charge of conspiracy in connection with the burning of thcßoehampton golf pavilion. A verdict of not guilty was returned on other counts. •
