McNaughton, ; a cdmmittee.to collect information regarding a water supply tq the \\ ; ■; It ,w;as-resolved that Mr Turner ,1 be'aodelegate to the Tauranga f (jhan^ber,of Commerce, on a date to;be.;hxed,- for the purpose of discussing with, that body the representation of the district at V. the' Auckland/Exhibition. i'% It was decided to write to the : vTaiirahga Borough Council thank-'-mgithem for information re block - v 0f.378 acres s of Crown Land. ' ■;; .Mr ! . Brady: proposed that Miss recommended as return-ting-officer at Papamoa at the ] forthcoming Road Board election. . This was seconded by Mr Hillier > and carried. ;.' vo-Mr Bennett's notice of motion ■ that the Society be merged into ~a-branch of the. Farmers'; Union ;was lost,on being put to the .meeting; ■ ; Mr McNaughton then proposed, >'and Mr Stewart seconded, that tbe name of the Society be changed'to that of' The Settlers' 'Association.' |Th 3 motion was "defeated.
