In the face of his declaration, however, the stewards decided to disqualify, the horse for Thursday's races, and his acceptance was received under protest for tiiat.day's Hurdles. Rubina won the Kilbirnie Stakes; Handicap, f mile, and the Te Aro Plate Handicap, 1£ mile, carrying 9st and Bst 71bs respectively.
