A BAZAAR BELLE.
You should see her at bazaars, Right behind the tea-time bars, v Slopping cups and, saucers in a style bewilderin', Oh I so dextrous and so smiling, All the. fellows' hearts beguiling, But, by gosh! at home she cannot wash the children. You won't find her ever shirk Any style of fancy work, Making frippery in manner quite deluding ; You will see her poonah painting — But you'd set her fairly fainting, If you hint the question, can she make a pudding ? • She'll pour out a cup of tea, That will please 'a mashing " he," But you'd really throw her frame into a twitter, If you asked her bread to bake, Or to cook a chop or steak, Or desired to know if she could flap a fritter. She will dress a stupid doll In a stylo that is tol-101, She'll embroider in a manner that enchants, But she'd straight turn up her nose, With indignant, snubbing pose, If you asked her just to patch her brother's pants.
