"Ignoramus" would like to know how it is that in a certain merchant's employ in Shortlandstreet spying, backbiting, &c, are the orders of the day. Any workman not qualified. in the foregoing category is not eligible. Should they by chance get a job, they do not remain long if they do not follow thi3 contemptible and cowardly practice.
