TESTIMONIALS. Rangiora, July 7, 1881. Sir, Having carefully examined theilN.Z. Herbal Extract, I find it to be a skilfully prepared: vegetable preparation, possessing the 1 properties of the plants from which it is derived in a highlyconcentrated state, a fact which I have verified by evaporating a fluid drachm placed -in a. wafcoK glass over a spirit ' lamp. , Oil weighing the result, a dark, green extract, I found the weight to be 1-A£ grains. On further submitting the extract to analysis I found it to be rich in tannin. In a large number of cases of ordinary diarihcca, as well as in many chronic cases and in dysentery, I have proved it to possess great specific control, added to the unusual feature in d~ majority of diarrhoea medicines, that it does not subsequently constipate the bowels. I feel satisfied that, from the number of trials I have been 'enabled to make of it. in a somewhat extensive-practice, it is a most valuable addition to modern therapuetics. The following cases are taken at random from my note book : — , Case No. 1. — Mrs M , West Eyerton, suffering for two years from Chronic Dysentery which had reduced her almost to a skeleton. After a fortnight's trial not only Eiad the Diarrhoea stopped, but she commenced eating .meat without pain and the usual concomitant vomiting. In two mouths she had gained 181bs Aveight. Case !K"o. 2. — A. G-., child, nged 5 years, "Fortnight Diarrhoea. Was effectually cured on third day. Case No. 3. — A soldier who had contracted Dysentery in India got a small .two-ounce phial, and was well before he had finished half of it. Chables DeLacy MacCaetiiy, M.A., M.8., &c, Trinity College, Dublin. Surgery, Rangiora, July, 1881. A Cch tain cure Guaranteed in every- case, no matter how severe or of how long n standing.
