ROUGH ON THE EDITOR.

A " rough " called on the editor of this paper on Tuesday, and endeavoured to bounce him into inserting an article against a certain timber company. He insisted that the company carries on the truck system, and that he had been cheated out of a sum of money. Not having the proofs before us, and being preoccupied with more important business, we declined just then to go into the matter, whereupon the rough became bounceable, tried to bully, and being ordered out" of 'the room, showed fight. It then became our uncomfortable duty to show him the way down stairs, and out of the front door. If any more of this class of people attempt to annoy us, we shall have to engage the services of a special " chucker out."
