Is it a hobby horse? or is it a Peacock they are training him to run with ? Apropos of this the following (not quite) original couplet is dedicated to (a) Peacock : — He who does one wrong at first Then seeks to hide it, makes it worse. ...Specimen of Oruru gallantry : — Miss H. |to Tisitor from Oruru : "Mr Giles will you have another cup of tea." Giles : Noa your trade is • doone." Applause by Giles' pater. This is almost equal to Mr Bumble Bee who wrote to the Chairman of the Road Board, but addressed the letter to the Chairman's neighbour by way of compliment (?)
