KAITAIA.
Sophia was at the sports, and S. looked as if lie ■would follow her to Te Reinga again, and chance the same result... The hoary -headed individual who suffers from " Herrnia Ingunalis " (?) had better remove to a safe distance from the dusky beauties, especially those that sing... The young man who wanted to put his father in a lunatic asylum, and kicked his mother, wound up by smashing the crockery in the hotel and kicking out two boards. It is understood that he is now engaged writing an article on extinct volcanoes ; active ones would be nearer his mark... Toeing men should bear in mind that ladies expect to be talked to as well as danced with. They may like a little bashfulness, but not in excess.
