THE R.A.M.
THE EEVIVAL SCENE AT TUAKATT
A lively correspondent, endowed with a faculty of epitomising, sends us the following graphic account of the latest religious development afc Tuakau : — Devil - scarers at work. Conventions by the score. Ladies first to go. G-entlemen say they had to follow, or lose their girls. Excitement intense since arrival of these Revivalists. Whole congregation in tears on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Blackest sheep in district converted into saints in a few minutes. Two ladies preaching. E. R., S. R., 0., and W. families and others quite reformed; also, 8., W. E., T. 2?., and old S. and others. One old Bene-
dict, known for his partiality for seventeen-year-old girl, went home in tears and confessed to his wife. Great scene. Two or three married ladies in bed — only measles this time.
