Who were the clerical trio that amused their audience at a late tea-fight, by talking slang and twitting one another about their love affairs ? Rather a cool way of announcing a desire for more pay. What a shame ! The "cool customer" will not allow kissing — monopolies are profitable. . . .The Paroa authorities have prohibited the sale of hops and hop-bread ; they think bad bread conducive to sound religions sentiment. What about tobacco culture ? Mr J. does not keep spirits, only sherry wine... The K.S.S. Co. have been doing penance, by selling a pleasure trip to the shareholders.
