The anniversary of the Q-raf ton-road Wesleyan Sunday-school was a brilliant success. The tea-flght was tip-top. There was a wild look about the eyes of some of the revellers and a distended appearance about the region of the waistband, which revealed too plainly how hopelessly they were addicted to excessive teadrinking. The speeches rivalled the orations of Demosthenes. We had in type a condensed report sixteen calunms long, which we arc compelled to exclude in order to make room for Luks' ad. about the Victoria Hotel, and a crush of other dreadful temptations to fall a victim to the demon alcohol. It should be mentioned, however, that the tea sßpplied on the occasion was from the unrivalled Oriental brands of Messrs Brown, Barrett, and Co. The old lady, whose face was suffused with the steamy blushes of the debauch, remarked, as she struggled out of the room, " Bless that Brown, Barrett, and Co.'s tea !"
