The other night the s.s. Stella came up the Mongonui harbour shouting, "Bishop aboard." The goody-goody folks ran and. told their Anglican friends that the Bishop had come, no doubt bringing with him a new parson (for alas, the lambs are -without a shepherd), but they were awfully sold, for it was the Customs Officer of that name that was wanted on board and they had shouted for him.
