Some of H. V.'s friends seem inclined to cavil with him on his decided preference for the cultivation of the poppy... Porangi, when you next conduct ladies from church, it would be advisable to keep them out of the many water holes on the way home... Mrs T. had a rather serious fall at the races. She says her " forty" (forte) is evidently not riding... The church choir is progressing favourably under the tuition of Miss C, much (surprising to say) to the parson's discomfiture.
