The Obserber
Satubday, June 10th, 1882.
TO OUR READERS,
Last week, though we printed some hundreds of extra copies of the Observes, in anticipation of an increased demand for the paper, -the entire issue was sold out to agents and runners at nine o'clock on Friday morning. Under these circumstances we can afford to bear with good-natured equanimity the dismal croakingsof the half-dozen, disappointed and jaundiced individuals who find consolation for their wounded feelings in carping at our success. In the out-districts also our circulation is rapidly extending, and new agencies are being established in numerous places where our contemporaries have not yet secured a footing. ' Those persons who desire to participate in the Obseevkb Art Union should bear in miad that thirteen coupons of any date entitle the holder to one ticket, and that as no extra coupons will be printed above the regular weekly issue, which is > rapidly sold out, they must not reckon on making good the number by purchasing unsold copies at the office. We may also .remind business men that the widely distributed and fast-increasing ■ circulation of the Obseeveb, gives it additional claims to support as an advertising medium.
