ARATAPU
"Pilly" and " Lord John," the inseparable companions and sharers of each other's joys and woes, have at length dissolved. " Pilly'? has other fish to fry. £20,000 is nerer, no hardly ever considered a fox. The noble game of cricket had no attraction for "Ilauraki Charley" on Saturday. Spooning was his forte. But before starting on the steamboat the young lady had.to wait a long time for Charley to shake hands and at last had to break the ice herself. Not quite the cheese, you know ! ■ Pig shooting by moonlight is the latest craze in Aratapu. The man who fired two shots in succession at a pig and found that he had made no impression on the animal, has decided to practice on a hay-stack before making another attempt. Werry bad !
