There's bootmakers many, whore not worth a penny Can't tell the difference twixt awl, last and haft. I work like old bellows, I'm one of those fellows

Country visitors to Auckland should pay a visit to M. Cook and Sons' glassworks at Freeman'sßay and see the wonders of glass-making which Mr Cook, in the most courteous manner, is ever ready to show and explain. A small piece of glowing red-hot glass becomes in a few seconds a tumbler, another piece is converted into a lamp-glnss, all executed with perfect ease, presenting a innrvel of skill and workmanship to the uninitiated. Some of the principal things for household use made here are the glass jam jars, all sizes, made with a small rim to keep on the cover, a grand invention for housewives ; also, glass rolling pins, splendid glass globes for fish, confectioner glasses, garden shades, lamp chimneys and many other articles too numerous to particularise, but an inspection will testify as to the skill of the firm, while the prices are so reasonable as to place the articles within the reach of everyone.
