The Eechabites propose holding a concert early in March, for which extensive preparations are being made, in order that it may be a success. So we poor children of lhe wilderness were denied tlie pleasure of seeing the performing dogs, simply because our worthy potentate thought it .scarcely moral. Hur_ak for the genius on the Jews harp, after last Saturday. It is a great pity his kind invitation to a qu£ ot half -hour study of the P.E. science was not accepted. The three jladies who attended the Sundayschool children's itea consider that they have had quite enough — in fa..;., just a little bit too much — -for theh' subscription ; and many others entertain the same ppinion,
Interesting subjects for discourse have, of late, been very rare at the Temperance reunions. The delegates who lately returned, recounted some rather strange freaks of persons who were suffering from " heavy wets " that they had met in theh' journeys afar.
