STREET DRESSES

Mrs Green-wood : Handsome dress of heliotrope silk ; bonnet of heliotrope to match. Mrs Hurst : Tussore silk dress, embroidered in self -coloured silk ; black lace fichu and bonnet. Little Miss McDonnor : Princess dress of blue cashmere, piped with white ; blue and white sash ; straw poke hat with blue bow. The bride, Mrs James Macf arlane, was in town in a black silk dress shirred up the front with figured satin ; black toque hat and feathess. Little Miss Nelly Macfarlane was with her in a grey beige, trimmed with silk ; white straw poke hat with blue bow. A lady (name unknown) was in Queen-street with a cream dress, piped and slightly trimmed with maroon silk. The effect was very good. Miss May Courtayne looked charming in a dress of cream oatmeal cloth, with basque bodice, laced up the back, trimmed with pale blue bows ; cream straw hat. Miss Symonds : Dress of tussore silk, with Mother Hubbard bodice and sleeves, handsomely trimmed with white lace ; cream bonnet^ with wreath of seaweed. The North Shore bride, Mrs Charles Burgess, was resplendent in a canary-coloured dress en princesse, with black velvet sleeves ; white bonnet, with dark crimson rose. Mrs McDonnor : Stylish dress of very pale sage green, with shirred sash of satin of a darker shade, and. shirrings of satin down the front of the basque; black lace bonnet, with bunch of barberries. This lady always dresses well.
