Nomination, 1 soy ; acceptance, 1 soy. For all beaten horses during the meeting. RULES AND REGULATIONS. All horses to take their ages from the Ist August. No entries will be received for any of the races except on this condition — that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of disputes shall be decided by a majority of the stewards present, or whom they may appoint. Their decisions on all points concerning the carrying out of this programme shall be final. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 1 soy, which sum will be forfeited to the f unds if the protest bo not sustained. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered will be fined 3 soys. When two or more horses start belonging to the same owner a distinguishing colour must be worn. The attention of owners is particularly called to this rule. No entry will be received on any pretence whatever after the hour named, or without being accompanied by the necessary amount in cash. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of Scales one half • hour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine not exceeding 5 soys to the funds. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary, Dargaville, as at foot ; entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at time of entry, pedigree, and, in case of handicaps when horses have not previously started on the Auckland or Canterbury courses, performances of the horse, name of the owner, and colour of the rider. Winners to pay 5 per cent, of the gross winnings towards towards the expenses of the course. All races to be run under the A.R.C. Rules. Qualification fee, one guinea. Stabling for horses free at Dargaville and Mangawhare. Grooms' passages both ways in Kaipara Company's steamers free. Amounts to be Forwarded with Entries.
