THE COMING RACES.

The acceptances for the A.R.C. and Grand Stand Handicap are not out at the time of writing, so that it is rather hard to make any satisfactory selections for Monday and Tuesday. My fancies just now, however, are as follows :— Derby Stakes, Walters' selected (either the Yattcrina filly or Peeress colt) ; Publicans' Purse, Billingsgate ; A.R.C. Handicap, Tim Whiffier or Kenilworth ; Selling Race, Lara ; Grand Stand Handicap, Maid of Honour or Othello. On Tuesday, the Midsummer Stakes may fall to Quida," and the Auckland Plate to Hilda. The Steeplechase will be won by Clarence or Rawenata, unless Lone Hand goes round, in which case he will Avin easily.
