Not only are husbands coming-
into fashion says the Cuckoo, but the acknowledgment that they are engaged to husbands seems now -with ladies to be the order of the day. We haye seen engaged rings outside gloves, and the finger on -which it was certainly was not kept in the back-ground. We have seen mittens used -where the " engaged ring" could be equally brought to the front without being, perhaps, so noticeable as outside the glove. Anyway, these demonstrations of loyalty are in the right direction. The announcement of betrothals usual on the Continent might be followed with advantage at home, and we are not prepared to say that the custom of many married SAviss to wear a plain ring on their little finger, might not also be adopted. Certainly, if every married man earned on his little finger the the pledge of it, many contretemps might be prevented.
