STODART'S LEASE GOLD MINING COMPANY (LIMITED), TIKI, COROMANDEL GOLDFIELD, To be Registered under the " Joint Stock Companies Act, 1830." CAPITAL, £10,000, in 20,000 Shares of 10s. each; Of which 78 Shares are fully paid up, and 9992 Shares are deemed to be paid up to 4s. per Share, and are held by the Promoters. This Company has been formed to work the lease at the Tiki Goldfield known as "Stodart's," adjoining 1 Blackmore's claim on the northern boundary, and the lease known as " Lloyd's," and on the license granted to " Stodart" on the Government land. The three claims have been amalgamated, and comprise an area of about 11J- acres in one block. A. thoroughly competent and well-known Mine Manager of great experience at the Thames has consented to take chai-ge of the Company's operations, and he has expressed great confidenco in the prospects of the mine. The two leases are held from Mrs Mclntosh at a rental of £6 per acre, for a period of seven years, and subject to a royalty of 2J per cent, on-the yield of gold, but Mrs Mclntosh has undertaken to at any time sell the freehold at the rate of £100 per acre. The remaining five acres are held from the Government under the Goldfields Regulations. 10,000 Shares are now offered to the public on the following terms .— 2s. per share on application, 2s. on. allotment, and the balance, if required, in calls of not more than sixpence per share, at intervals of not less than one month. After payment of the 4s. per share all the shares will rank alike, except the 78 shares fully paid up. Of the sum so raised, the promoters require £1000, out of which will be paid the expenses tip to date, and the preliminary expenses of the formation of the Company. The balance of the £1000 will be lodged to the Company's credit at the Bank of New Zealand, free of charge. This amount will be amply sufficient to thoroughly open out the mine, and prove the'value of the property. As soon as a sufficient number of shares have been applied for, a General Meeting of subscribers will be called to elect Directors and Secretary, and transact other necessary business. This Company is projected for the purpose of givinggreater facilities for the large and increasing traffic between Auckland and Devonport, by providing Fast and Superior Boats at Cheap Fares. It has been decided to run the boats every half-hour during the day, and hourly to an advanced period of the night, and no extra charge will be made for the night boats upon the holders of weekly, family, or daily return tickets— the price of the latter will be reduced to Sixpence. It is confidently expected that the reduction in the Fares will tend to encourage travelling, and attract visitors to the District of Devonport, which is becoming so justly celebrated as a watering place for those in the search of health or pleasure. The Directors purpose petitioning the Harbour Board to provide a Landing Stage nearer the City End of the Auckland Wharf; and more Comfortable Waiting Rooms on both sides of the Harbour. The promoters are much encouraged at the very hearty and liberal manner in which the proposed Company has been received by the residents of the Devonport and Lake Districts, and at the eager manner m which the shares have been enquired for, thus assuring, at once, the financial success of the imdertaking. A large portion of the Company's Stock having already been subscribed for, applications for Shares should be made to the Secretary at once, to enable the Directors to make an early allotment. 841 UCKLAND GAS COMPANY, LIMITED. NOTICE OF REMOVAL OF OFFICE. Notice is hereby given that the office of the Auckland Gas Company, Limited, has been removed from Queen-street to Fort-street, opposite the Post-office, where the business of the Company will now be conducted. The Directors of the Auckland Gas Company, Limited, have determined to undertaking the supply and erection of gas fittings, and arrangements have been made by which persons may acquire, directly through the Company, the necessary apparatus for lighting and cooking by gas. The object the Directors have m view is to afford the Company the opportunity of dealing with the wants of their own customers in aU respects, not only in the choice on their behalf of apparatus, designed to accomplish the best results, but to supply their requirements at the lowest rates both as to first cost and to maintenance. The Company's stock of chandeliers, brackets, etc., etc., may now be seen at their Show Rooms, Fort-street. The season bei.ig somewhat advanced early inspection is invited. Fittings and apparatus for the combustion of gas, including Stoves and Engines, may, if so agreed, BE hired with the option of purchase.
