PEACE CELEBRATIONS

Apparently the Government is desirous of establishing a record for lightning changes mi regard to the Peace Celebrations. The fertile braira of they Miniister of Internal ! G./.W. • Russell, received ' by the Ma,yor yesterday:— ; "Referring to my telegram of the 4th iaiist., I have now been adv.*ed that Caibinet has resolTed that peace celebfrations shall be eontinaod on Monday, July 215t.,. which shall be Children's Day. At a special meeting of the Borough Council held last light * it wae decided to reciommend the Peace Celebrations executive to adhere to it® two days' programme of Saturday and Sunday, July 19 and 20. *
