The census returns show that the population of Sydney proper 1 to> ba twel-v)a hundred thousand! one hundred and fifty fire, ai. d&ireosa of 7061 sincQ 1901 census. The decrease' is due mainly to; an incireas© iii the nuDibtiv- of Tyusiness premises. All the subutbs show gooid increases.
