They are coming, yes, they're) coming, from near and from afar, To be present at the opening of our motor reel bazaar. And to show they're sympathetic, their pre.sence will reveal . They mean to help us all they can to buy a motor reel. - .

They are coming form the north and south, likewise the east and west, Theyreally are in earnest (I don't write tins in jest), To compliment the ladies who've displayed praiseworthy zeal, And to hope they'll be successful and obtain that motor reel. If favoured with' fine weather, with nothiug to debar, The people will attend in crowds our motor reel bazaar; And if all do their level best, with shoulders to the wheel, Our Ere Brigade is sure to get a first-class motor reel. As a result of the united efforts of many willing workers the interior* of the Albert Street Drill-hall has been transformed and on entering! the hall ona is confronted with the pleasant spectacle of well-filled stalls framed in artistic decorations. JElaiciu and every stall has ils -dhaale of good things in abundance and 1 where previous bazaars have la'clked in small details the present one is cionipletei. The; lollie stalls ha|v|e always ibleletn the first to run out owing to the great demands made by the; younger, patrons, but the promoters of the Fire Brigade Bazaiar have shown more wisdom and have allotted! more space to this particular stall, while 1 the holders have stocked' it so well that it will take three very busy evenings to clear 1 it out. The same can ibtei said of the other stalls, while the bteiauty of the contents of the) fancy stalT calls for special note on the part of patrons.

Tn opening the bazaar* this afternoon His Worship the Mayor clomplimented the ladies on the splendid results Qf their efforts, and expressed the hopie that the revenue derived from the bazaarl ■would! Mli" Lowta then deolared the bazaar opien, A fair amount of business was done during the 1 afternoon and.this evening a crowded hall is confidently expedited:, when record business should ■be done. There are in all nine stalls! and their holder and assistants are as follow^: —■ Plain Stall.—Mesdamea ■ Morrison, Stone, Low© and Goodwin. Produce Stall. —Mesdames Cloutt, Wiggins, Ai. Burns, anid MoClo-rmiuV; LoUie Stall.—Misses H. Lowe, Brokenshire, Ctauitts, and Potts. Cake Stall.—Mesdamles Coutts, CbuttS, junr., and! Alexander. Variety Stall and! .Brani Pit,—Masdiames Willetts and Jenlkin. -Handikierehief Stall—Mrs A. Strong amd Missels Paul and Cliniker. Afternoon Tea iStiall. —Mesdames Milntei, Ferguson, A. Olarik, Robinson, Pratt and Miss Bond.

Baby Stall.—Mlesdlamea Rae, •■ Kedferh and) Addison. The) ciaikie competitions were judged by Mr "Wl Scott, whoi declared the following) results: Jam Sandwich (Jwith butter): Mrs McLennan 1, Mrs Veale 2, Miss Herival 3. ■ Jam Sandwich (without butter) : Mrs Simmonds 1, Mrs ML Bourns 2, Mrs Veaiei 3. ' Ginger Bread: Miss ECardnmn 1, Mrs Milne 2. Plain Scones: Mi Js Smith (Tararn) 1, Mrs Liewis 2, Miss A. Taylor 3. Currant Scenes: Miss A. Taylor 1 1, Mrs Cola % Mrs Bruce 3. Seed Cake: Mr's Cole. Fruit Cakei: Mrs M. Burns. To-night shooting?, quoits and guessing* competitions will be held' and valuable,' prizes will foa awarded to the winners. Oakes hare been presented toy Mr W. Sbott and Mesdlames Cum'e, Simmonds and! Gr'nlbb, , while hams haivs been; donated by Mra Oullen and Messrs Wood and Elnsof, all to be given, as prizes in guessing contests. ■ A set of photos (native studies) haivtei also been presented) tyy Mr W. Chester. Mrs A. Burns and Mrs Fearste have* each presented handsome Wride dolls. Two other prizes to ba offered for competition airy a Very handsome lady's wicker work-baslkiet presented by Mr Damn, and 20 front seat tickets admitting the winners to the Oddfellows' Hsall, presentetl by Mr C Roberts.
