Of tlie fairly pood attendiance at tho Tara.ru householders meeting last nieht ladies were in the majority. Mr W. J. McCormick was voted to the chair.
Tho annual report showed that the present roll is 100 and that, the average attendance! for the quarter ended March 31st was °7. The conduct of tlie; school had Ween exemplary and tho teaching of an efficient ohar'a.citer. During! tho yeoi' Mr Vosi was transfenTixt from the teaching 1 staff and Miss Lillian MeiWVittorsi substituted 1. Good results are expected from this young lady's work.

Tho election of committeeine-n resulted an follows: Messrs W. J. McCWmick, A. Pcul«ra.in, H. McDonnell, W>. L. Tlmi-burn, W. J. Ada ids, B. Trainer, and J. Bblea
Mr McOormiok Was elected chairman and Mr Doles secretary and treasurer.
A rote of thanks was passed to Mr R. H. ohapma,n for his valualblo. sktT'ices in tho past and the meeting' expressed rcgi'et at Mr Chapman's recent severe accident.
On tho following! motion being put the-meeting aarriedl it unanimously: "That this meeting of householders considers that in the best interests of education, a dominion scheme for tlie promotion of teachers is urgently required."
