The general manager of the Mes* aa^eries Martimea emphatically denies the rumor that the company contemplates ■withdrawing' from tlie Australian trade. TW present contract expires in July, 1912, and negotiations 'between the company and the French Government for a renewal were not con.pleted. No one wvis yet able to say what the newi agreements would be.
