The Minors Phthisis Bill has lx^en withdrawn and Mr iSfniuts will intro^ du:o a 1 shoi'b 35i1l levying £25,000 from the- mine owners to which will bo added a Government subsidy. It will provide for provisional compensation and! will give the Government powt'il to Confidentially medically examine the miners to ascertain their liability. The pertiiaueut bill will be introduced in lfll'2l.
