We regret to report the death of Mir John Cbultts ait the advanced age of 74 years, which took place at the 'Waihi Hospital. Mr Oouttg leaves a widow, five daughters and fom' sons to mourn their loss. Deceased was a brother of the late mining inspector, Mr James Ctautts, and was born in Peebl'eshirei, Scotland. He followed the coal mining in the Old Country, and after coming to New Zealand was manager of vlarious mines in the South Island, ■ principally Gabriel's Gully. He has been, a, resident of Waihi for the past ten yearsi, and was much respected 'by all who' knew him. He was an enthusiastic! bowler, and only took part in n match at Waikino a few wteelksi ag;o>. Deceased Was a niemibctr of the Sir Walter Scott Masoiiici Lodge, Thames. Interment was private.
