A quiet but pic iy wedding was I celebrated tit tlio residence of Mir and Mita Ales. Baden, Hi'kutaia, on Wednesday, April 19th, when Miss Juanita. Olive Hanlcn, their youngest daughter, was united in tlho holy bonds of mati'imotny -to Mr Franciis P. Wilton, sun of Mrs John Wilton, of Tararu. The ■bridle, who was given away by her 1 father, looked exceedingly well in a pretty gown of white silk striped canvas ivjoilo, Ihe bodice fating prettilj trimmed with silk overlaice, and finished with sprays of orange blossoms. 'She v/or'a a coronet of orangle blossoms, long' tuile veil, and carried ai lov^y shower bouquet, completing' a pretty bridal 'Ciostume. The aei emony was impressively perfonnied by thet Rev. Mr Finton, of Thames. The bridei Was aittanddi toy her niece, Mass Violet. Bedford, as JbHdestaaid. Shelooked 1 veiy fctecoming. in a pretly frock of cream silki, and carried a showier bouquet. Mr Elaraest Wilton, brother of the bridegroom, filled tihe capacity of best man. After the ceremony the party aaidi guests were entertained by. Mr and Mrs Hani on at n sumptuous wedding 'breakfast, and tlin usual toasts? duly honored). The wedding cafce, a very handsome one, wasi tho 1 work of Mr W. .Scott, and reflects great credit om him. The bridegroom'si .gift to the bride was a hiandsjome greenstone and gold brooch, and to the bridesmaid a pretty goM.I brooch. The happy doupla were the ree.ipie.nts of a number of presents, both useful and ornamental, showing; the esteem in which both are held. Mi 1 and Mrs Wilton left 'by the afternoon train for Hamilton, whore the honeymoon is being spent. The bridle's travelling dress was a. navy Mule ccrtumo Avith hat to match.
