Replying to a deputation from the Women's Societies protesting against thd Home; Affairs pr'opostedj .order to permit dressmakers to extend the hours in Mlay and Juno in view of the Cbronation, MV Mastennan &t:ited that tho Queen had made special arrangtemients to prevent overtime on hei' dresses. Mr Mhsterman wished that eA'eiyono would bo similarly cionsid'er'ate, and promised to reconsider tho order.
