PAJ?IS, April 20. Victor Gaubert has beeni arrested for the murder of his wife Eliza in the village of Lappene, near Marseilles, the eircumsitanaes resembling the Crippen case. Eliza, disiappt-aredl in October, liw husband alleging she had gone; to Mauritius. Later he announced her death, and! married Antonio Sidmllcs, a village girl. He left home during repairs, and workmen noticed the tiles in the scullery were uneven, «nd discovered Eliza. Gaubert states that Eliza, and he had a violent alteraartion over Antonio, and she suddenly d'mppod dead. Fearing arrest he bluriedl the body.
