Kauaeranga Girls' School.
The breaking up of this school for the Christmas vacation took place at 3 o'clock this afternoon. The large room was very tastefully decorated with wreaths of flowers, evergreens, &c, while on entering the room, tbe words " A Christ* mas Welcome," prettily worked with flowers, greeted the eye. A number of drawings, the work of the scholars, were bung around the room, and were much admired by those present, several of them being very good, reflecting great credit upon Miss Hatelden and the other teachers. The members of the School Committee were also present. Several pongs, <fec f , having been given by the soho!ars, the following presentation of prizes and certificates for regular attend • ance was made by Mr T. L. Murray :— Ist.
