Sixteen head of stampers are tt work on a shift of 10 hours, and the cleaning up and retorting will take place about Tuesday. JLbnilwobth.—About 25 tons of quartz are bagged for the Thames furnace, and will be sent down next week. About six ewt of bags arrived to-day per Waitoa, io the manager means business. Wbicomir-The long-expected-reef is not yet to hand. Mr Byrne is working through heavy sandstone country. Scotia.—A start was made to-day in . the low level, where the lode is sft wide.
