OUR MINES.
CAMBRIA.
The contractors are making excellent progress with the sinking of the shaft, which is now down a .depth of 30ft below the flat sheet, the country in the bottom being a splendid class of sandstone. Strong dabs and colors of gold are seen freely distributed through the quartz when breaking down the main reef in the fourth stope east at No. 3 level, though no hauls of specimens have been bagged dqring the past few days. The quartz ia of the usual promising nature, and carries an abundance of pyritous mineral. The hangingwall portion of the reef in the winze below No. 3 level also looks well, being charged with favorable minerals, while good colors of gold are frequently seen when breaking cjowq. Crushing is proceeding as usual, and is shaping for a good return.
