Sofia, November 14. Prince Alexander, in an order of the day, issued to the Bulgarian army, de. nounces the Servian invasion as cowardly and treacherous, and calls upon all Bulgarian subjects to defend their homes and annihilate the invaders. Later intelligence states (bat some sharp skirmishes bare occurred between the Bulgarians and Servians, several men being killed and a good number wounded. The Bulgarians had rather the worst of it, and are reported to be retiring.
New Yohk, November 13. 'Destructive Fire. £1,000,000 Worth of Property * Destroyed. Telegrams have been received in this city from Galvestoo, Texas, stating that a disastrous conflagration is raging in that city. The fire broke out tbis morning, and all efforts to suppress it have, up to the present been unsuccessful. Sixty blocks of buildings have already been destroyed, and damage to the extent of upwards of four millions of pounds haß already been done. A British Proclamation hat been issued formally announcing the deposition of King Theebaw from the throne of Burmah. Mnjor-General Prendergast, with troops under his command, has arrived at Schaifeturys, and an attack on the Burmese position at Munhla is imminent. London, November 10. The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Co. has declared a dividend for the past half year at the rate of 8 per cent, per annum.

London, November 13. Mr E. M. Stewart, of the firm of Messrs Scott, Dawson, and Stewart, Australian merchants, has been elected a director of the National Bank of Queensland. The writs for (be election of members of the House of Commons will be issued on the 18th instant. Spain is desirous of re-opening the parleying in connection with the AngloSpanish Treaty.
