OUR MINES.

CAMBRIA

The work of baling and cleaning out the well-hole was completed this afternoon, and the manager expects that the contractors will bo able to commence sinking the shaft this evening. There is no change to report in the' various workings of the mine; NEW ALBURNIA. The manager reports as follows:— " The No. 2 winze on the Success reef has now been sunk to a depth of 14ft. The reef, which is about 3ft. thick, was broken down to-day, and, although no specimens were obtained, gold was freely distributed through the dirt, 2ft. of which I am saving for crushing. The reef is highly mineral" ised, more especially in the western end of the winze, where the cross*leader junctions. The crosscut at the 70ft. level is still in tight country ; but notwithstanding this, fair progress is made. The men employed on Sons of Freedom level are making good headway with the repairing of pass and ladder road." GOLD RETURNS. New AißtrENiA.—Bice aud party, tributers in this mine, have crushed 13 loads of general dirt for the excellent return of 57ozs 9dwts gold.

Adelaide.—A crushing of general dirt for Loughlin and party, tributers, has produced 25ozs gold. KußAKtri Hill.—Lannan and party have banked 6ozs 6dwts gold as the result of a crushing of general dirt.
