Medical — FIRST PRIZE A.A. Aim P.A. EXHIBITION 1883.— £1,000 REWARD.—Caution. Ask for Hitchens's Blood Restorer, THE GREAT NEW ZEALAND EEMEDY FOli CLEANSING, PDBIFYING, AND INVIGORATING THE BLOOD. THE Proprietor, in explaining why be hat not for some time pushed the lale of the above, would state that he received suoh a serious check by the disastrous fire which destroyed : costiy appliances and a magnificent Btock of prepared herbs (recently replaced), and h* baa v not therefore been in a position to come before the public. He has not been able t« satisfy all the local and foreign demands, aud was unable to t>dn>inister ac extensively at he could have desired to the wants of a suffering world. MR BITCHENS is now happy to sUtir that he is cnce again in a position to supply this health-giving Medicine, which he is convinced will, " with the blessing of God," cure almost any disorder, owing to its irresistible yet gentie operation. Iv coming before the public and planting hie standard once more on the ramparts of the great enemy of mankind—».«., sickness—he trusts that an overruling Providence will bless bis future efforts to mitigate the physical woes of man. In this even* ing's Stab appear a few of the hundreds of testimonials received by Mr Hitchensj one of which is from one of Auckland's best known citizens. It requires no further comment than to say that bis illness was of a most severe type, baffling the skill of medical men, while other infallible remedies were tried without the slightest change for the better. Here is what Captain Fabquhab says of .KITCHENS' BLOOD RESTORER:— Auckland, October 15, 1883.—Dear Sir,—For twelve months I suffered severely from eciatica, and tried various remedies, without avail, and as a last resource I was recommended to give your Blood Restorer a trial, which I did, and I have much pleasure in testifying that after taking it for three months I completely recovered my health. I may say I had no faith in it at first, but the result wss such a thorough cure that I consider it my duty to acknowledge, unsolicited, its curative powers.—l aw, Sir, faithfully yours, W. Fabquhab, Master Mariner, Ponsonby.—To H. A. H. Hitchens, Esq. >r 4 The Proprietor would here intimate that £1.000 will be forfeited to any Charitable Institution if the good done by bis Medicine has been over estimated. The Proprietor is prepared to meet on a public platform any persons who dispute, the veracity of testimonials, and he will undertake to prove the genuineness of the cores effected. He is else trilling to meet in public the medical gentlemen who have attended the patients and have pronounced them incurable, and answer questions put relative to the facts of the cases qaoted. Medical men's names have, from motives of consideration, been excluded from all testimonials, but then personal acknowledement would add increased brilliancy to the fame of the medicine. • . Mr Alex. Eagieton, Hairdresser, of Queen street, AuokUnd, suffered, with n paralysed arm, with every indication of the disease spreading through the body. The doctors pronounced the case hopeleso, and friends believed his end was drawing near, when he was induced to give Hitchens's Blood Restorer a trial, tbe result being an immediate change for the better ; and on continuing to take the medicine, he was completely restored to health and strength. ' ■MrD. R. Chisholm, Agent for Mr Hitchsnb.—Dear Sir,—lt is with heartfelt thanks I am able to endorse the sterling qualities of Mr Hitcbens's invaluable Blood Restorer. Being induced by Mr Disher, who spoke in eulogistic -terms of its merits, to place my wife (who was suffering very acutely with Rheumatic Fever) under its treatment, I am very happy to state the medicine has acted quite magically. After a few doses pain entirely ceased, and sh* is making rapid progress, and is now enabled to resume her household duties. Acting so beneficially, I would not be without such a valuable remedy, and should impress upon that* who are similarly suffering not to overlook this specific, which is inestimable.—-Believe me, ' yours very sincerely, THOMAB BROWN, Brittama Heights, Nelson. - Maraiti (near Howick), Auckland, 17th August, 1882. To H. A. E. Hitchebb.—Sir,—l had been for five years suffering from an ulcerated leg, and after being twice under treatment in the Auckland Hospital, without any improve* ment, I was induced to give your blood restorer a trial, and am proud to say after four bottles and the use of jour Ointment, I became quite well. Please accept my warmest thanks, aad give this what publicity you wish, that ethers may benefit thereby.—Tours, most respectfully. CHARLES MORGAN, Maraiti. Sheridan street, off Wellington street, Auckland, Dec. 1,1882. Mb Hiichebb.—Dear Sir, —As you have asked me to describe my state at the time Mr McMillan recommended me to uee your Blood Restorer, and the effect it had on me, I will simply say that whether it was Lumbago, Sciatica, or Paralysis that made me so helpless, I do not know ; but, at any rate, I was unable to stand for cine months, and had to be lifted like a baby, and my taste wbs entirely gone. Dr ■■ ■ '.7.' ■ said I had an affection of the spine, and that I should never have the use of my limbs again. He brought another medical man to see me, and I was told that I would probably live only a short time, audit was no use of their holding out false hopes. I thanked them, and felt as they did. Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what wes the matter, and my husband told him. He at once said, "Let her take Mr Bitch en's Blood Restorer, for I believe that will put her all right." I did so, and after using the third bottle in tbe third week, I begen to feel a change, and a tingling sensation in my limbß. Every subsequent "bottle seemed to be doing me more good. The result is that after using eight bottles, I&m now quite well, do my own washing, ■ and all the housework, and feel quite as well as when I first came to New Zealand five yean ago. I am always happy to tell people the good you did me, for lam sure I should not now be well and hearty, but most likely in my grave, if I had not put myself in your hands. —I am, dear sir, yours faithfully, FLORA NICOL. Witness—HENßY HARINOLL, Nelson street. I bare much pleasure in testifying to the perfect accuracy of the abova statement. —N. MoMILLAN, Vulcan Lane, Auckland. H. A- H. Collis Bbowhb's Chlobodynb, has earned for itself, not only in Hindustan, but ali over the East. As a remedy of general utility, we much question whether a better is imported into the country, and we shall be glad to hear of its finding a place in every Anglo-Indian home. The other brand s, wo are happy to say, are now relegated to the native bazaars, and, judging from their sale, we ncy their sojourn there will be but evanescent. We could multiply instances ad inAnii mof the extraordinary efficacy of D»i Collis Bbowke's Chlobodtnb in Diarrhoea and Dysentery, Spasms, Cramps, Neuralgia, the Vomiting of Pregnancy, and as a general sedative, that nave occurred: under our personal observation during many years. In Choleraic Diarrhoea, and even in the more terrible forma of Cholera itself, we kave witnessed its surprisingly controlling power. We have never used any other form of this medicine than Collis Browne's, from a firm conviction that it ii decidedly the best, and also from a sense of duty we owe to the profession and the public, M we are of opinion- that the substitution of any other than Collis Browne's is a DBUBIttATa BREACH OP FAITH OK THE PABT 07 THE CHEMIST TO PBEBOBIBEB AHD PATMOT AUK* We are, sir, faithfully yours, Symes and Co., Members of the Phartn.
